Fitch Foundation Board Meeting and Reception

New York, NY (June 20th, 2016) Board members and grantees alike gathered in The J.M. Kaplan Fund’s office in mid-June to discuss business and to also celebrate the work that The James Marston Fitch Charitable Foundation has accomplished over the past year.

 

The day began at 4pm, with Fitch board members convening in the Fund’s main conference room, affectionately referred to as “The Grape” in honor of the Fund’s history with Welch’s.  As the afternoon stretched into the evening, board members emerged from the session to find the Fund office already prepared for a celebration: drinks, appetizers, and good conversation were all readily available, and at 6pm the reception officially kicked off. Guests were invited to listen to guest speakers and Board President, Fred Bland, present and pay homage to Fitch.

The event was a great success for all parties involved, and an excellent way to combine productivity and fun, by hosting both the board meeting and reception in the same day and location.  After all, what better way to wrap up a board meeting than  by walking into a celebration?
